Tv news ratings woes?

The ratings for local news broadcasts have been going down for a while now. But in the past few weeks, one station in my market has been gaining ground and quickly. For the first time in years, my show lost to that station yesterday. Of course I will be to blame, and I fear I will be demoted or even fired. I am very distraught about this right now.
