Why didn't MOhammed honor God by learning to read and reading the scriptures? like the Torah Psalms Gospel?

And that would be a weak proof to people that Kur'an is from God. In that case, Christians and Jews would be able to lie about it that he got the stories from the other scriptures. Or if he knew any knowledge at that time, people would claim that he wrote Kur'an with his own mind.
