Will I be able to charge a fourth generation iPod Nano on my speaker?

I've heard that the fourth generation iPod Nano doesn't charge with certain accessories. Does anyone know if this is true? I have a JBL On Time speaker and won't get the iPod if it won't charge on my speaker.
